Press Reviews I hadn’t tasted Cuvée Royale for a while and was hugely impressed. It’s vivacious and elegant yet generous, too, and beautifully balanced, with a floral note on the nose and lemon curd and toast on the palate. It’s a more or less equal blend of the three varieties – 35% for Chardonnnay and Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier – with around 20% reserve wines and it was aged in the cellars for three years. Spot on. 12%
Joanna Simon, www.joannasimon.co.uk, 17th October 2019The term Cuvée Royale was added to this delicious Champagne when it was a chosen tipple of both Queen Victoria and also King Edward VII. Luxurious, superbly balanced and very long on the palate, this is a noble Champagne.
Matthew Jukes, The Daily Mail, 28th September 2019The latest release of Joseph Perrier’s NV Brut Cuvée Royale is showing well, revealing a generous bouquet of ripe apples, mandarin, warm biscuits and subtle hints of honeycomb. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, fleshy and rounded, with a generous core of fruit, ripe acids and a youthfully frothy mousse. It’s testimony to the progress made at Joseph Perrier in the last decade. 2018 – 2026. 89 Points
William Kelley, The Wine Advocate, 30th August 2019An attractive, yellow-citrus style with plenty of zesty acidity on the palate. The drive and richness here are impressive. Score: 91 Points
jamessuckling.com, 10 Jul, 2019A nose of almond and pepper with elegant, sweet floral appeal on the palate. Understated for a Pinot-dominated wine, but poised and self-confident.
